Marivic has been assigned to underwrite traditional IDI business. Going forward please contact Linda with your underwriting questions related to Old Fashioned Underwriting. You can reach Linda at lsantaul@standard.com or 971.321.8464.

The customer management specialist assigned to Old Fashioned Underwriting cases is Lauri Cullum at lcullum@standard.com or 971.321.8163.

Notification of Underwriting Decisions

In order to streamline communications about IDI underwriting decisions to your customers, The Standard’s underwriter letters to customers will now be placed in a sealed, confidential envelope (including any lab results) and sent to the producers with the issued policies, for presentation at policy delivery. (In the past, the letters were mailed separately to the prospective insured.)

When underwriters make a decision, as before, they will continue to send an email to the MGA but they will no longer send the Underwriting Action Notification since it duplicates the information in the email. We ask MGAs to forward the underwriters’ emails to producers as notification of the underwriting decision.
